Drag-Drop metadata exploding?

Haven't had an issue like this in a long time... Anyone else have this problem? After update, dragging in an output with metadata - for a moment it's loaded fine, then browser (chrome) freezes for a bit, then the entire workflow is completely exploded, all subgraphs gone, all nodes are arranged on…
