Genuinely who green lit the new sidebar design

This is possibly the worst UI design I've seen in a long time. We now have 2 sidebars one for chats, and one for 6 buttons 💀😭. Paired with the top bar my screen might as well actually just be smaller now. Hopefully they change it back soon lol it actually hurts to look at.
