Let LLM access different file types

I just got a m5 MacBook Air and started doing my first steps with local elms. I am running small models like qwen 3.5 9B on it via lm studios bionic. I want it to be able to access all sorts of files and edit them. What kind of tools can I install for it to be able to do that?
