OpenAI has ruined their macOS app

Even ChatGPT admits that OpenAI has made the macOS app too complicated. Why can't I find an option to just have a STANDARD Chat. Sometimes I want Codex, sometimes I don't. The iOS app lets you choose easily which one you want. Why do they have to make the macOS app so complicated?
