What have they done to make Gemini this stupid

i setup home manager properly then wanted to check if i did it right. Gemini proceeded to give me commands to break it and then can't even generate a Github link for the last 7 prompts it spits out the same answer. Like this wasn't even something GPT did 2 years ago.
