What setup step did you skip and later realize was actually important?

Mine was the fallback message. Thought it was a nice-to-have until an agent I built just looped I don't have that information on a lead instead of pointing them anywhere else. Small thing, but it mattered more than I expected. What'd you skip that you'd tell people not to?
