Why is Gemini's UI the buggiest and laggiest mess I've ever seen?

I love Gemini as a chatbot. But the UI is the absolute worst. It's so buggy and laggy. I've lost count of how many times it's failed to connect to their servers. And sometimes it randomly delets my chats.
